Geo-fences, speed alerts and notifications
A tracked vehicle can raise its own alarms: a geo-fence that tells you when the car leaves an area, a speed alert for when it is driven too hard, and the tracker reporting its own trouble. Tracking is an optional paid module, switched on per account - contact us to add it to your plan. Without it none of this appears.
Arm a geo-fence
- Open Tracking, click the vehicle and open the Commands tab.
- Type the radius in metres. The minimum is 100 metres - below that, ordinary GPS scatter would raise constant false alarms.
- Click Arm here to centre the circle where the car is now, or Pick centre and click the spot on the map.
- Read the answer. Geo-fence armed means the tracking server is watching the circle, and the fence is drawn on the map. Anything else is not armed.

The fence alerts on one thing: the vehicle leaving the circle, and the alert names the car and the fence it left. Each vehicle carries one fence. Off disarms it. The saved radius stays in the box, but the circle is placed fresh each time you arm - at the car with Arm here, or wherever you click with Pick centre.
Saved but NOT armed
Geo-fence saved but NOT armed is not an error - it is the truth. Your circle is kept, but nothing is watching it, usually because the tracker has not reported to the tracking server yet, so there is nothing to attach the fence to. Get the tracker reporting - Fit and connect a tracker has the checklist - then arm the fence again.
Tip: A fence that answered saved but NOT armed is watching nothing. Until arming answers armed, no alert will ever come from that circle.
Speed alerts
On the same Commands tab, type a limit and click Set. The minimum is 30 km/h. You are alerted the moment the vehicle goes over it, and Off switches it off any time.
Where alerts arrive
Every alert lands in your notification bell. The serious ones also reach your phone as push notifications: speeding past your limit, leaving the geo-fence, external power lost, a tracker silent for half an hour, a movement alarm, and a sudden fuel drop.
Ignition on and off never buzz and never reach the bell - a car that starts twenty times a day would bury everything else. They are still recorded: the vehicle's Reports tab keeps its full event log, with filters for ignition, alerts and connection.

A silent tracker raises one alert per silence, saying how long it has been quiet - not one every few minutes until you stop reading the bell. Once the device reports again, the next silence is a new alert.
Lost external power means the tracker's supply from the car was cut: a flat battery, a disconnected wire, or someone pulling the unit out. Of everything the tracker sends, this is the one to check first.
