Switch parts of Fleetola off
Fleetola has more in it than most operators use. The Modules panel switches whole parts off: the page leaves the sidebar for everyone on your account, and Fleetola stops offering that feature anywhere. Nothing is deleted. Switch a module back on and everything it held - every conversation, every service record - is exactly where you left it.
Hide a module
- Open Settings → System → Modules.
- Switch off what you do not use: Messages, Service reminders or the Availability calendar.
- The change takes effect straight away, for every login on your account.
- Missing a page later? Come back here and switch it on again - everything is still there.
Only the owner can flip these switches. A team member sees where they stand, but the change is refused.
Where to find it: Settings → System → Modules
What switching off really does
Messages off removes the chat on both sides: your inbox goes, and the renter portal loses its Messages tab. Renters can still reach you - the portal hands them your phone and email instead. Every conversation is kept, and switching back on brings the history with it.
Service reminders off hides the Services page and stops upcoming-service alerts. What you have already logged stays on record.
The Availability calendar off hides the fleet timeline, never your bookings - every booking is also a contract, and your Contracts list keeps the lot.
Tip: The Availability calendar switch also controls your public booking page: switch it off and the page stops taking requests, and visitors are told to call you instead.
Three different hide switches
Hiding has three homes in Fleetola, and they do different jobs. Modules, here, hides a part of the product from your whole account - every login, including yours.
Manage on a team member, under Settings → Business, hides sections from one person: each member is set Hidden, View or Edit, section by section. See Invite your team. A page a team member is missing while the owner can still see it is a permission, not a module - ask the owner.
What renters can see, under Settings → Renter-facing, hides tabs in the renter portal only - your own side is untouched. See Set up the renter app & portal.
Messages sits in two of those lists, and they are different switches. The Renter-facing row takes the tab out of the portal while you keep your inbox; the Modules switch takes the whole thing away from everybody.
GPS tracking says Not in plan
Tracking is an optional paid module, switched on per account. Until it is part of your plan the GPS tracking row reads Not in plan, and nothing tracking-related appears anywhere else - contact us to add it. Once it is, the same row becomes an ordinary module switch: owner-only, off and on whenever you like, nothing deleted.
