The Services page is the schedule for your whole fleet: what has been serviced, what is due soon, and what is overdue.
Log a service
- Open Services and click Record service.
- Pick the vehicle and tick what you did.
- Enter the date and the odometer. The next service is counted from that reading.
- Set when the next one falls due: a distance, a time, or both. Whichever comes first is what you are reminded about.
- Add what it cost and Fleetola saves it as a Servicing expense against that vehicle.
Change a due date
Open a vehicle's service history and edit Next service due at the top of the sheet - a date, an odometer target, or both. A km target saved on its own gets a due date added beside it, about six months out. Clearing both boxes is a real answer: that car then has no schedule and nothing falls due for it.
Tip: A vehicle with no odometer reading raises no service reminder at all, even with a due date saved against it. Record a service, or a reading on the vehicle, and the reminders start.
Registration
Record registration takes the new expiry date and each cost separately, and saves each one as its own expense.
What you are paying for varies by state. CTP - a Greenslip - is bought separately in NSW, while other states bundle it into the registration fee. Most want an inspection before they renew: a pink slip in NSW, a roadworthy in Victoria, a safety certificate in Queensland.
The rego expiry you record drives the renewal reminder on your dashboard, so a car whose registration is running out shows up before it lapses.
Fix or delete a recorded service
A saved service is not locked. In the vehicle's service history, every service record has an edit pencil and a delete button. The date, the odometer at the service, the next-due intervals, the mechanic and the notes can all be changed, and fixing the odometer recounts the next due point from the corrected reading - so one digit mistyped at the roadside no longer sets the reminder. Deleting a record asks first and cannot be undone.
A registration renewal keeps no row in the history - recording one simply sets the vehicle's expiry date. To fix a wrong expiry, or to give a car its first one, open the registration segment of Services and edit the date in place - that changes the date and nothing else, where Record renewal also books the costs. Tip: You do not need the Services page for any of this. A vehicle's Service tab has its own Log service and Record renewal buttons, and clicking any entry in its history opens the same sheet, edit and delete included.
