Service and rego reminders
The Services page is the schedule for your whole fleet: what has been serviced, what is due soon, and what is overdue.
Log a service
- Open Services and click Record service.
- Pick the vehicle and tick what you did.
- Enter the date and the odometer. The next service is counted from that reading.
- Set when the next one falls due: a distance, a time, or both. Whichever comes first is what you are reminded about.
- Add what it cost and Fleetola saves it as a Servicing expense against that vehicle.
Change a due date
Open a vehicle's service history and edit Next service due at the top of the sheet - a date, an odometer target, or both. Clearing both boxes is a real answer: that car then has no schedule and nothing falls due for it.
Tip: A vehicle with no odometer reading raises no service reminder at all, even with a due date saved against it. Record a service, or a reading on the vehicle, and the reminders start.
Registration
Record registration takes the new expiry date and each cost separately, and saves each one as its own expense.
What you are paying for varies by state. CTP - a Greenslip - is bought separately in NSW, while other states bundle it into the registration fee. Most want an inspection before they renew: a pink slip in NSW, a roadworthy in Victoria, a safety certificate in Queensland.
The rego expiry you record drives the renewal reminder on your dashboard, so a car whose registration is running out shows up before it lapses.
